How Long Will The Battery Last On My NObreath?

How long does the NObreath's battery last?

On a full charge the NObreath® will last for approximately 100 tests.

If the NObreath® is left to completely discharge, the outcome depends on how long it remains flat:

  • Short period (days to a few weeks): In most cases, the device will simply require recharging and should operate normally once sufficient charge has been restored.
  • Extended period (months): The internal lithium battery may enter a deep discharge state. This can:
    • Permanently reduce battery capacity and run time.
    • Prevent the device from charging normally.
    • Cause the device not to power on at all.
  • Very long storage while discharged: The battery may require replacement by an authorised service centre.

If the device has gone completely flat:

  1. Connect it to the official charger.
  2. Leave it connected for at least 4–6 hours (sometimes longer if deeply discharged).
  3. Attempt to power it on.

If it still will not power up after prolonged charging, the battery has deteriorated beyond normal charging and will likely need recovering or replacement by an authorised service centre.

From a FeNO measurement perspective, a flat battery alone does not affect calibration or measurement accuracy once the device is functioning again, although if the device has been out of use for a long period it would be sensible to perform any recommended QC checks before clinical use.
